hey guys it’s Chris cashflow positive marketing I just want to put a quick video together here let’s take a little Sunday Drive about something I posted about a couple weeks ago on Instagram actually posted on Facebook and then reposted over on Instagram but that was the Gary Vee content strategy I think it was a few weeks back then I put that one up and for those of you don’t know I mean hopefully you know Gary Vee is but if you know Gary Vee but you’re not familiar with his content strategy it’s like an 86 slide deck 86 slide presentation where he talks about how him and his team creates so much content and they do a lot of repurposing and that you know they shoot a piece of pillar content and then they take that pillar content and they slice it up into other into other pieces of content you know they’ll shorten up the video they’ll use clips for you know IG or Twitter you know like like you know 15 30 second 1 minute clips that sort of thing and you know obviously they’ll post the long-form content on the YouTube channel or on Facebook business page or whatnot it’s a great resource you guys should definitely check it out I mean if there was you know if you’re talking about content creation I would tell you to start there I would literally be like the first thing you need to do is read that 86 slide deck that Gary Vee and his team put out on the content strategy now a slightly more obscure deliverable that Gary Vee and the team put out in November of 2019 that would also encourage you to take a look at I say slightly more obscure because they just don’t see it referenced as much it’s no it’s no less valuable let me put it that way I mean both of these things that I’m talking about or about to talk about you know you should absolutely consume them duh and and take them to heart okay but the other item that garyvee and the team released in November 2019 was titled I believe how to make 64 pieces of content a day I think that was the exact title of the presentation and it came out on his birthday by the way November 14th 2019 I was like a birthday present to everybody so it was really nice of them and it was actually quite a present to me to be totally frank with you the thing was super informative super detailed you know sort of step-by-step instructions on how to take one piece of content and reuse it you know many times over that’s how you get to the sixty-four so you know for anybody who follows Gary Vee they know that his whole thing is you don’t create content you document whatever it is you’re doing whatever it is you want to put out there as a message whatever your product is whatever your brand is but you just sort of document stuff you’re already doing already working on that sort of stuff and so that’s how you get the root content to begin with is because you’re already just documenting stuff and you’re not sitting around scratching your head saying well how do I create something new like you don’t you don’t wrap your head around that axle because you just say hey yeah you know I’m just gonna I’m just gonna film myself doing what I was already doing or I’m just gonna you know do some behind-the-scenes footage of whatever you know for your product or your brand or whatnot you know it’s it’s not an academic exercise it’s just it’s just catching yourself in the act while you’re in the act and so then once you’ve done that that takes care of the raw content that’s that gets that obstacle out of the way you don’t have to you don’t have to worry about that anymore right so then you’re in a situation where it’s like okay well now I’ve got raw content because I didn’t you know I got away from the whole create and you know think hard about it and all that kind of stuff and I just started documenting right so now that you documenting you got something to work with you know you can say okay yeah I’m gonna go ahead and I’m gonna take this video footage that I let’s say captured of myself and I’m gonna take the video and I’m gonna upload it to YouTube so one piece of content I’m gonna take that same video and I’m gonna upload it to IG TV two pieces of content I’m gonna take that IG TV video and I’m gonna do a one-minute preview of it on I G three pieces of content I’m gonna take that 1 minute preview and I’m gonna put it on Twitter 4 pieces of content I’m going to take the long-form video the one that went on YouTube and IG TV and I’m gonna stick that on the facebook business page that’s five pieces of content right I mean I’m already starting to lose track of how many pieces of content you got out of that one thing right so I think we’re at five right but you could do even more with it than that I mean it’s not just I mean obviously let’s say you shoot a 10 minute video well you got 10 1 minute clips right so technically that’s 10 tweets okay you can do 10 tweets so that gets you up from what I have one tweet before so add nine more there’s fourteen pieces of content okay so I shot one ten-minute video let’s say I just flipped on the camera and started talking about my process for creating whatever it is I’m creating and I just ripped off the top of my head so I got a 10-minute long-form video out of that I got 14 pieces of content potentially you know I didn’t even mention like sticking it on your website you know if let’s say you have a blog or a video section on your website you could do that too you know just all kinds of stuff you know take still images from it let’s say if you were presenting something at the same time you can take still images of the presentation portion you know stick that out there onto some of these platforms I’m talking about so you know so the thing is you know if you really take heed in this presentation I’m talking about the the the 64 pieces of content 1 and you just sort of open your eyes to it a little bit you start realizing how basically easy it is to hit that number I mean it just isn’t that hard to get to 64 pieces when you know that you know one piece could get you you know could get you 15 by doing just what I said so in fact if you use that formula let’s say it is 1 to 15 let’s just use that as an easy number so if it’s 1 if one piece of root content can potentially you know and that’s a 10 minute video let’s keep using that example right so if that one 10-minute video gets you 15 pieces of content well then to get to 65 you only need what’s that 4 plus of those okay you do 4 videos like that throughout the day 40 minutes out of your 24 hours right that’s not a whole lot of time it’s a fraction of your time throughout the day less than 1 24th of your day you take that footage and you could breezily make you know 60 pieces of content of it now you know you could argue I got a caption everything I got to put some text in the tweet with it yeah that’s true it’s not automatically already done for you it’s not automatically already finished you do have to do some tweaking you do have to contextualize it to your platform another garyvee is I’m there you have to contextualize it to your platform and make sure that it makes sense of course but but you’re well on your way and I think that’s the issue is I think a lot of people who are like you know I don’t have I don’t have the time I don’t know how to come up with that many pieces of content they’re thinking of it like oh I got to create 64 totally brand-new unique ideas about X or Y or Z that’s absolutely not the case that’s absolutely not how you’ll do it okay we’re not how you should do it if you can do that that’s pretty impressive but I would argue that most people won’t even get past the first or second piece of content if that’s how you’re thinking of it it’s not gonna happen so you know that’s basically just of what I wanted to talk about I really encourage you guys to download to review to take to heart those two presentations by Gary V obviously the one I said that he released actually I think the first one the content strategy one I think he released a couple years ago I think that was probably like around 2017 timeframe I want to say something like that I think it was around 2017 maybe give or take a year so somewhere between 16 and 18 so it’s been out there for a little bit definitely you know something that he references a lot you know multiple occasions I’ve seen him talk about it and you know say how you know if you use it it’s gonna it’s gonna give you a guide on how to make things a little easier but the second one the one that came out in November of last year the 64 pieces of content and day and again 64 is not a magic number it’s just that’s the number they used and kind of walked they kind of walked people through it like here’s how you could end up with 64 like could have been any number but anyway that one they released in November of 2019 that one was a little more explicit like the first one showed his approach like Gary Vee and his team how they do it the second one the 64 was how you should do it and there isn’t that much difference I mean there’s you know it’s pretty much it’s pretty much the same thing you know I mean the message is basically the same but but basically basically the second one kind of talks about it from your perspective like like here’s how you could go about doing it so it’s a little more personalized I think to you know to the reader so you almost could start with the second one to be honest with you then go back and and take a look at the first one so anyway you guys check that out I’ll probably post something about it besides this video probably put something up some kind of graphic or something you guys can see with the actual you know what the actual cover art of the deck looks like you recognize it and kind of point you towards it in the caption but anyway so that’s just some thoughts on the content creation you know it’s a challenge for me and it’s a challenge for everybody who’s trying to you know keep their brand relevant on social media and it’s definitely something that you know you have to be kind of obsessed with every day nonetheless but if you use these methods if you use these tactics you’re gonna make your life a whole lot simpler you’re gonna see that the path to get there is a lot easier a lot quicker a lot simpler than then you think it is so okay so look out for that that post-party have it up in the next couple days but you just google it and you probably find that in you know less than five seconds flat alright thanks good
