what’s up guys alakay and in this video i’m going to be giving you ten ideas to repurpose your video content based on Gary V’s content model so if you’ve ever watched any of Dera these videos you’ve probably heard of him talking about repurposing content you’re competing with creators that are producing content every day all day and guess what you can do this too without having to create new content for every single platform a common question is does repurposing your content mean that you’re repeating your content and the answer to that question is no repurposing your content is kind of like recycling and plus everyone likes to create and consume content in different formats on different social media platforms for example I’m a massive fan of YouTube and YouTube videos and video content whereas other people will prefer to consume a tutorial in a blog and article format so instead of trying to create something a brand new for every single platform why don’t you try and save yourself a little bit of time and effort by repurposing some of your top performing content from the past so that being said here are 10 ways that you can repurpose your content starting with number one Instagram carousel posts so carousel posts are a great format not only because you can pack a bunch of value in information in those posts but also due to the fact that on average the carousel post gets 5 points 30% higher engagement compared to a normal post you can use your video as a guideline on how to structure your information for an example in this video where I’m talking about 10 ways to repurpose your video content I could then make an Instagram post with 10 slides and each slide is dedicated to one way on repurposing video content there’s honestly so much you can do with Instagram carousel posts each slide can either be a photo or a one-minute video so there’s so many ways you can make these look great and pack a bunch of information and value in that post second way to repurpose your content is to create a LinkedIn post the same Instagram carousel that you’ve just made can actually be used as a LinkedIn post you don’t have to create new graphics for LinkedIn just use the same ones that you used on Instagram however LinkedIn is a professional platform so do remember to adjust your copy that goes with the slideshow giving your copy a more professional tone tailors it for LinkedIn and optimizes the content for the LinkedIn platform and it also means that your content isn’t exactly the same as the one that you put on your Instagram third way to repurpose your content is to make a short video clip what you can do is slice up the video and turn it into a bunch of different little posts again taking this video as an example I’ve cut this video up into 10 separate little videos mentioning each way I repurpose content as a new post for a different social media garyvee does this all the time and from his long format content he’s actually cutting out small powerful and valuable segments and sharing those as their own post across other social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook the fourth way to repurpose your content is to turn it into a tick tock tick tock is currently blowing up with over 800 monthly users tick tock actually currently has an amazing algorithm which allows you to potentially generate tons of engagement and reach on the platform so I highly suggest repurposing your content and turning that into a tick tock video if you wanna know more about how the tick tock algorithm actually works I’m going to be linking to a video at the top in the cards where we talk about reverse engineering the tick tock algorithm the fifth way to repurpose your content is a Pinterest pin with a Pinterest pin you can actually drive a ton of traffic back to your blog your website or even your original video you can design a Pinterest pin graphic on a site like canva but you can also slice up your video into Pinterest pin videos these are 15 to 60 second videos and they’re actually gaining a lot of popularity on the platform the sixth way to repurpose your video content is to turn it into a blog post if you have a high performing YouTube video why not turn it into a blog post you can only drive you more traffic and if you put your video at the top of that blog post people potentially watch it on the website and it’ll get your YouTube video more views and that means you can now not only help your video rank in the youtube search bar but also get your blog post to ranking in the Google search as well as help your video rank this also means that the audience you have that for reading over watching a video can now consume your content the way they prefer best the seventh way to repurpose your video content is to turn it into a podcast you can actually create a podcast without having to record one you can extract the audio from your video and turn it into a podcast episode or you can create micro episodes just from one video just like Gary these five-minute episodes with vide you can actually create audiograms for your podcast content that you want to share let’s say to Instagram for example you can add things such as subtitles progress bars and headlines just like a lot of the repurposed podcast content that you would see on Instagram and if you want to learn more about how to make podcast videos again we’re going to put the links in the description below the 8th way to repurpose your video content is to make an IG TV video you can upload your full video or just a segment of it as an IG TV video on Instagram and also make sure that that post shows up in the feed or I do TV even upload videos from 1 to 10 minutes and larger and verified content creators have the possibility to upload videos up to 60 minutes long ninth way to repurpose your video content is to create LinkedIn articles use your video content and turn it into a LinkedIn article just like in a blog post you can embed videos in LinkedIn articles you just simply have to add the link to your video you can even repurpose the video thumbnail design and turn it into the blog cover to make it visually appealing and then finally the tenth way to repurpose your video content is to create an email newsletter repurposing your content isn’t just limited for social media so why not try sharing your content with your email subscribers you can create great email newsletters alongside your original content just share the key learnings from your original content put them into that newsletter and if they want to read more make sure you attach the original link to the content in that email so there it is that was ten ways to repurpose your video content as you can see there are hundreds of different ways that you can do it do mind is probably flooding of ideas by now but basically just start with one or two pieces of content on your main platforms and then you can use those two key pieces of content and spread it out to all your other platforms that being said if you have any questions or feedback please let us know in the comment section below if you found this video useful and you enjoy this video
